These five makeup products are my latest beauty finds. They have become my absolute favorites, and will have me looking my best for the upcoming holiday parties.
So let’s get started!
“Audacious Lipstick” – Rita
Glamorous red with a seductive feel and a satin finish. So as you guys have probably noticed I’m no stranger to a bright lippy. For my day to day lip colors I usually go for bright pinks and orangie corals. But every once in a while, and specially during the holiday season, I cannot resist a bold red lip. The texture is what makes this NARS lipstick so special. It applies silky smooth, it has a satin finish, and the color is very rich as well as long lasting. This lipstick is by far the best red I’ve ever found.
* I also like to add a little bit of darker lip liner to the outer corners of my lips to add dimension. I used “Vino” from MAC.*
“Lights, Camera, Lashes” Inner Rim Liner in Nude (Soft Beige)
This skinny eyeliner in soft beige has been my go to eyeliner for the past couple of weeks. I love putting white or beige eyeshadow on the inner corners of my eyes on a daily basis. I do this since it gives me an instant “pick me up,” my face brightens up and it makes my eyes look bigger. But with eyeshadow I would notice that it would wear off easily, usually after a few hours. So I went on the search for an alternative. This nude liner from Tarte was just what I was looking for. It goes on smooth, it is long lasting, and has a matte finish– which is perfect for day time use. On nights I want my eyes to look a little brighter I just add a touch of shimmer eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner and done. It does not wear off since the eyeliner works as a base to the eyeshadow. I also like to highlight my brow bone with it. This is the best finishing touch to my makeup looks!
As the name already says it, this little blue tube is theee POREfessional. This balm minimizes the look of pores and fine lines instantly. I like to apply the silky formula over my makeup, on my laugh line area and forehead. With this lightweight balm my makeup immediately looks and feels smoother and it prevents creases from forming after a couple of hours. It must be the Vitamin E derivatives and oil free formula that makes this product ideal for combination skin like mine.
“Camelia de Plumes” Highlighting Powder
I honestly haven’t seen such a pretty highlighter in a very long time. I didn’t even want to use it at first, its just that pretty! This highlighting powder gives my skin an amazing glow. I start off with one brush stroke for both cheekbones for a sheer effect and build up from there. I apply it to the highest points of my cheekbones and bridge of my nose. A little goes a long way with this product.
Make Up For Ever
“Aqua Rouge” Waterproof Liquid Lip Color – 11 Dark Raspberry
I was only going to share one lip product when I first thought about putting this beauty post together, but I literately just found this incredible liquid lipstick this morning and I couldn’t resist sharing it with you right away! So I noticed this lipstick in a lip gloss tubing today when I was at the mall, and what caught my eye was that it was labeled waterproof. I applied some to my hand and really liked the intensely pigmented color. When I tried to rub it off with a tissue the color wouldn’t come off, thats what sold me. I purchased the Dark Raspberry color since a dark lippy is a must for Fall. Its a bit of a vampy red / burgundy color with a flirtatious touch and a matte finish, but if you’re into a shiny look then you can use the clear gloss that comes with it. I’ve had the color on for four hours and so far its still intact, its incredible!
