There’s nothing like a change of seasons. As we transition into winter the days get shorter, the leaves turn into various brighter shades of yellow and red, while peoples attitudes also become more jolly (since they’re getting into the holiday mood). In some places the temperature starts dropping as well. I’m thrilled that our days in California are finally starting to cool down a bit. This season outerwear seems to be a lot more prevalent than in past years. Statement coats now come in great colors and various textures to fit everyones style. So I can’t wait to start wearing warm and cozy long coats, colorful leather jackets, as well as printed capes.
Concerning my outfit on this cold and gloomy day, I snuggled up in my oversized turtleneck knit sweater and fluffy long coat. These two items paired up so well. The heather grey poncho with hints of wool and frayed edges, has a laid back shaggy look, and most importantly it is super comfy. While the double breasted swing coat with fluffy fabric and whimsical blue color kept the look stylish. I combined these two with crisp white skinny jeans, a squared mini bag, and silver heels. My hair was swept to the side and put into a low pony tail. I also tried something new with my hair. I got a small strand of hair from the back of my head and braided it. Then I just put it over my head like a head band.
I truly hope you love this outfit as much as I do.
