New Year’s Eve celebrations should always be fun, exciting, and a time to make great memories. Therefore, your outfit should not limit your fun time. That’s why I always follow three rules when it comes to my NYE outfit: 1). My shoes need to be comfortable enough to stand on for a minimum of 4 hours, 2). My outfit needs to fit perfectly, nothing falling off or riding up, 3). My look needs to highlight my best features (i.e. legs, chest, stomach, face, arms, etc…) that way my mood is super up beat and I get to feel my best throughout the whole night. Once you’ve got those three bases covered, you are ready to have one the best nights of your life.!
For today’s NYE inspired outfit I paired up a couple of the latest trends: sequins, fur, and a pop of burgundy. For the girl who’s always looking for a bit of comfort in her glamorous outfit this is the ideal look. I started off with the jacket burgundy. This piece is absolutely luxurious, the feathers are very soft as well as plush, and the color is just striking. It’s such a well made piece of clothing that I bought it as an investment piece. I know I’ll be able to wear it for years to come and with various styles. Then I chose a second stand out piece (as if the jacket wasn’t enough 🙂 ) beaded and sequin leggings! I can’t get enough of the the beaded work, its so pretty. I feel this item is truly fun, flirty, and comfortable all combined into one. It also allows you to show off your curves in a tasteful way, and bring some shimmer into your entire outfit. I left everything else pretty basic; just a simple black sweater underneath, black ankle booties, and one cocktail ring. I matched the color of my lippy to the jacket and left my hair down in somewhat soft waves.
This look is definitely a head turner since it brings so many dazzling pieces together.
