On days when I don’t seem to find anything to wear my go to color scheme is always black and white. It is one of my favorite color combinations, it’s always so classy and chic. It also allows you to play up your makeup a little bit more. For instance, I went for a bright red lip color and an extra bold eyeliner. As for my hairstyle I kept it quite romantic, with long loose curls.
My outfit set is by a brand I recently discovered, Elizabeth and James. It was on a mannequin in Nordstrom. At first I didn’t even notice it, I completely walked right by it. My boyfriend actually pointed it out to me. To be honest, at first I was a bit apprehensive about even trying it on. I felt it was too sexy for me, with the high slit on the skirt and the top being a crop. I thought I would be showing too much skin and wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing it. After trying it on though, I was glad my boyfriend peer pressured me into giving an outfit like this a try. I tried on the top first. Immediately I fell in love with the mock-turtlenck design. As soon as I got into the skirt I knew it was the perfect fit. The look is actually very sophisticated and not too revealing. In the end I liked this look a lot. I’m definitely going to give pencil skirts a try more often and keep pushing myself to try new styles.
