I’m always slightly hesitant to wear an all black look only because it may seem too dark and gloomy. I usually wear a lot of color since I feel it’s a lot more fun and cheerful. Being surrounded by bright colors puts me in a good mood as well 🙂 But every now and then a black on black outfit is good idea, it just depends on how you style it.
For instance, todays look consist of a skirt and sweater combination. You would think nothing new right? But, both items actually provide little tid bits of dimension and shine that you wouldn’t usually expect. The long sleeve sweater is flecked with a metallic thread, providing high-shine to the entire outfit. The sheer fabric on my top goes very well with the completely opposite composition of the black skater skirt I’m wearing. My favorite part about the skirt is the embellished fringe at the hem. I find it so flirtatious and unpredictable. Especially since I always associate fringe with boho inspired clothes. Therefore, it’s a bit of a fun surprise.
Continuing with the unpredictability theme of today’s combination I opted for cutout booties rather than patent black leather heels. Honestly, I put comfort before beauty this morning.
