I find myself struggling to find that one perfect outfit on days when I have in person meetings with brands. My first instinct is to wear something professional; a white and black combination with subtle heels and natural makeup. However, I have to remind myself that I am not going to a job interview at a bank. Rather, I’m meeting with a person or set of people who are already familiar with my style and apparently liked it very much that they made an effort to contact me. The idea of being chosen for a collaboration is so rewarding and an extremely humbling experience for me. I get really excited since it means my sense of style is worth following and confirms that my blog is worth reading.
Therefore, when it comes to meeting other fashionable people that are just as excited about trends, prints, fit, and colors as much as I am it is as equally exciting as it is nerve wrecking. It takes a few days for me to get over the excitement and actually clear my head in order to define my purpose for attending the meeting in the first place. My goal is always to make a significant in person impression. For that reason I make sure to stay true to myself, remain professional at all times, and exude confidence with the outfit I wear.
I think I was quite successful in providing a sense of professionalism and still maintain my personal style in the all black outfit I wore today. Since I knew was going from one meeting to another within a three hour period I made sure to wear an outfit that would not wrinkle, as well as a hairstyle that would stay in place. That’s why I wore this Noam Hanoch crop top, made of spandex material in the front and lace in the back. With its mock neckline the lace was a great way to break away from the conservative and structured feel this top has in the front. It also serves as a flirty way to show off a bit more skin. 😉 I paired it with a black skater skirt, made out of scuba material, and with matching beads at the hem. Those shiny details made the look seem much more festive than casual. The two articles harmonized very well. I finished off with black patent heels, a deep red satchel, matching pout, high ponytail, and most importantly A POSITIVE ATTITUDE.
I think the meetings went really well and I can’t wait to share more with you in the future.
