Big Bear was the perfect destination for our winter getaway. We wanted to remove ourselves from our fast moving sunny city life and spend sometime in the snow, alongside mother nature, and reboot in order to draw in new inspiration. Every once in a while a quick little vacation is much needed. Especially after the busiest months of the year, which are always November and December due to the holidays.
With all the excitement that comes with planning a special getaway, I made sure to pack some very fun and colorful outfits. I’m not used to the cold at all. So the whole time there I was bundled up from head to toe in cozy knits and chunky beanies.
I was really looking forward for this trip. So much that I was counting down the days to go. We are very lucky to have some of the best weather in LA, it’s pretty much spring and summer all year round, with the exception of a few gloomy days here and there. So it felt really good to get away from the sun and into a snowy wintery atmosphere. I was most excited about seeing snow fall. Three years ago I got to touch snow for the first time in my life while traveling through Switzerland. However, I wasn’t able to see it fall. So I was really excited to finally touch fresh snow on this trip. On our first day we woke up to snow on the ground and lots of rain. Our second day was full of bright blue skies and warmer weather. Luckily on our last day snow fell in the morning and I got to see it. It was the best experience ever. I jumped, I twirled, I ran through it, and even made a snow angel. It was so much fun!
