I’m sure it must not come as a surprise to you to find out that Californian’s are not used to rainy weather. We pretty much live in sunshine all year round. So when it does rain we have no clue as to what to wear. On a rainy day you’ll definitely see people in the street wearing shorts, light sweaters, and even sandals. We rarely find ourselves prepared when the temperature drops below 75F. I too have a hard time finding what to wear on cold days since I mainly live in skater skirts and sheer tops. So last week when I woke up and realized it was raining I had to change my planned outfit right away for my 9 AM meeting. So what did I wear? A jumpsuit!
Recently I’ve grown very fond of jumpsuits, and discovered that the right form fitting one will definitely make you feel like the best version of you. They are very versatile, comfortable, and not much thought needs to go into how to wear one or even how to accessorize it. They go with everything. For instance, I threw on my black moto jacket as I made my way into my car (I was in a hurry) and it instantly worked. The hardware on my jacket was gold, so I purposely matched all my accessories to it. Black patent heels are always a go to for me, so that’s what I wore. However, now in retrospect, since it was a rainy day I probably should have worn a high heeled boot instead. That would have worked as well.
In the end my outfit was a hit. I got many compliments throughout the day and I felt great in it. The jumpsuit definitely works whether you’re at the office in a temperature controlled environment or spending the day out exploring the city (rain or shine). 🙂
