Hey guys!! I’m really happy to get to talk to you again and keep you up to date with my adventures. All last week I kept my posts really short since it was finals week at school. But, now I’m finally done and I couldn’t be happier! Last week I spent most of my days in the library and even slept there a few nights. I was so lost, I didn’t even know what day I was living in, since I didn’t come out for three days straight. In fact, I didn’t even realize we had a really bad thunderstorm last Thursday. However, now those days are behind me and I’m able to enjoy the sunny days ahead to the fullest.
I recently bought this black and white dress. To be honest it was a bit of a splurge. I’d seen this dress a while ago online and really wanted it, but I wouldn’t buy it since felt the cost was rather steep. However, Bloomingdales had a sale two weeks ago and I was able to get it for a few bucks off. It was still pricey at the end, but it was my graduation gift for myself. So I think that justifies the splurge right? 😉 lol. Anyway, when I spend a lot of money on a piece, whether it’s a dress, leather jacket, jeans, or even a lipstick I always have to calculate the cost per wear (cost of item / divided by the amount of times it will be worn in a year). Until then I decide if the purchase is reasonable or if I should let it go. In this case this puffball skirt dress definitely passed the test. A black and white look is always a great idea, regardless if its spring, summer, fall, or winter. It’s chic, sophisticated, and elegant. Therefore, I will be able to wear this dress all year round and for different occasions.
On this day I kept the look very simple all throughout. My makeup, accessories, and shoes were just there to complement my dress. I love the see through effect on top and the puffy bottom. I’m very happy with my choice.
