I love wearing a good pair of dressy pants and a blazer, especially if I have a meeting to attend. However, during summer months who feels like wearing a dull suit? Rather I want something light and breezy, but I can’t always wear jeans or even skater skirts.
To attend today’s meetings I started off by choosing my jacket before anything else. I found this blazer at Zara a few years back. It was a bit on the pricey side ($150), but I figured I would get a lot of use out of it, since it is a transitional piece. It’s white, so I can wear it during warmer months as well as spring. Also, it has elbow patches and those always look good during the fall. Moving to my top, I didn’t want my outfit to look too structured, instead I was going for a casual summer suit. I put my dressy button down shirts to the side and picked out a simple spaghetti strap. Basic items always look great when they’re strategically paired with colorful statement pieces like my printed pants, filled with colorful garden flowers. I just had to get these pants the moment I saw them online, they remind me of my grandmothers bedroom drapes lol.
