Living in California really allows us to wear summer clothes nearly all year round. We don’t really have seasons here, and to be honest thats not as bad as it may sound. We’re always surrounded by palm trees and sunshine, with a few gloomy exceptions here and there.
Something from the fashion world that’s been surrounding ALL of us lately has been fringe. Before it used to be thought of as a summer/festival characteristic in clothing, but now it’s transcended seasons and clothing styles. Personally I love it! You can find fringe on nearly everything from a moto biker jacket, to mini skirts, and even shoes. This time last year the fringe trend was starting to emerge. You would see it in magazines or high end stores only. Now you see it everywhere you go, from high to low end, as it’s hit mainstream with a bang! Last time I went shopping I found a black suede mini skirt, with fringe details at Bloomingdales for $300 dollars. I found it to be a very steep price for a skirt. So instead I walked down the mall and went straight into Forever 21. There I found the exact same skirt style for $23 dollars. I was sooo shocked by the huge price difference, that I got the skirt right away and only let it go for about a minute in order to pay for it 🙂 lol. Ok I know that was a bit dramatic from my part, but I really liked the skirt and was heartbroken when I saw it for $300. Any who, I wanted to wear it with a simple top that would accentuate the fringe details. So I paired it with my white low v-neck top. As usual I wore black favorite black pumps, put on a layered necklace, and curled my hair to the max. I was ready for a sunny day out surrounded by palm trees and fringe!
