You know, a business look doesn’t have to be basic and boring. You can definitely spruce it up by picking clothes that come with extra little details. Like these sailor flare pants from Express. They’re perfect to wear for work, but they’re definitely not your ordinary dressy pant for the office, instead they’re your entryway back into the 1970’s. Come, take a nautical trip back in time in these sleek flares with button accents. I paired mine with a tie neck blouse that looked a little like it came from my boyfriends closet, but I assure you it’s definitely mine. In order to bring the look together I wore my favorite type of jacket–a moto. This textured black and white jacket definitely gives off a vibe of effortlessly cool, yet it has an “I’m here to get the job done” attitude as well. For that pop of color that is always required in a two tone look I chose a wine colored purse, very close to the color marsala. I love this color so much, it’s rich, elegant, and intriguing. It’s no wonder marsala was voted color of the year for 2015. As always I wore my black patent pumps, and tried something new with my hair, a messy fishtail braid. Slowly, but surely the braid trend is starting to lure me back in. 😉
