Today we’re talking about my latest daily night routine using AlureVe’ beauty products. Lately I’ve been more open in trying new beauty products and have actually been pleasantly surprised by the changes I’m noticing on my skin. I’m also including a few tips on how to relax and unwind after a busy day.
So let’s dive into this post!
Hair Brushing & Detangling
I try to take as much care of my hair as I possibly can. Therefore, I brush my hair a lot, specially as I’m preparing to go to sleep. The time I spend brushing my hair before going to sleep is really my own personal time. I sit there quietly thinking about how my day went; the good, the bad, and what I can improve on. I find this activity to be very relaxing and to top it off it’s actually good for my hair. Hair brushing is important in keeping good hair health since it spreads your natural oils from your scalp onto the rest of your hair. So get to brushing. Start relaxing and always be gentle of course.
I also like to wear a braid for bed. I feel that my hair gets really tangled if I let it loose at night. This causes unnecessary tangling and breakage.
Day & Night Serum
Since I’m in my mid 20’s I don’t have visible aging signs yet. Luckily I don’t have crows feet around my eyes, or even prominent laugh lines. However, I do think it is important to start thinking about these aging issues way before they become a problem. I’ve been using anti-aging serums and creams since I started wearing makeup, which was when I turned 15. I like the idea of actively trying to prevent a concern before it becomes a real problem. For the past month I’ve been using this high performance anti-aging serum from AlureVe.’ I have combination skin, so my T zone is very oily, and the edges of my face are very dry. This serum has helped tremendously smooth out my face, primarily the skin around my hair line and on my chin. I like the radiant effect it’s had on my faceas well, I feel like I look brighter and even healthier.
I use one pump of the product in the morning before applying my makeup and at night after washing my face. I like to rub the product between both of my hands and apply it gently on my face. I start in the middle of my face, concentrating on my nose and spreading the product outward onto my cheeks and edges.
When I apply the serum onto my forehead I use gentle upward motions.
Any product that I have left over I apply it to my neck. I start at the base of my neck and use gentle upward motions here as well.
Invisipatch Night Cream
This night moisturizer I think is the key behind the new found resilience on my face.
On average I use one to two pumps on my face after applying the serum. I like to apply little bits of it on specific areas of my face like underneath my eyes, above my eyebrows, and in between my brows.
Then, using my ring and middle fingers I spread the product throughout my face in circular motions. I take my time while doing this. I enjoy this process very much since it’s like I’m giving myself a mini face massage.
Targeted Treatment Patch for Under Eyes
Although I don’t suffer from aging lines, I do have really bad puffy under eyes. On nights when I sleep 3 to 5 hours you can notice them very much. But, I’ve also been proactive in trying to sleep more, yet I still wake up with puffy eyes. So I’ve come to the conclusion that it has nothing to do with my sleeping patterns. So instead of trying to fight this problem, I’m just trying to make it slightly better. I use these AlureVe’ under eye patches while I’m sleeping twice a week. When I wake up, after 8 or even 3 hours of sleep, my skin looks vibrant.
I apply the narrow tip of the patch underneath the inner corner of my eye. I tap the patch with my middle finger to make sure it sticks. Then I gently lay out the rest of the patch.
They’re clear and flexible patches. So you’re still able to move your face and don’t look too funny lol. 🙂
I like to end my night with cucumber water on a daily basis. I usually cut up two to three pieces of cucumber and put them in a cup filled with water. I do this around 6PM, since I usually go to sleep around 11PM. I do this since you do need to soak the cucumber slices prior to drinking the water.
Cucumber water has a lot of benefits. It is good for your muscles due to the silica found in cucumbers. It also has antioxidants that help keep your skin clear, as it is also a detoxifier. It tastes great and it’s beyond easy to make.
