Hey guys! We’re officially in the holiday season and that means family gatherings and parties are right around the corner. So today I’m listing some of my favorite beauty finds to help you look your best for the the upcoming weeks.
Mega PRO Palette 2
Personally, when I want to look and feel my best I tend to go for a “Glam Girl Makeup” look. What does this mean? Well, it means that I like to play up my eyes a lot more by using various shades of shimmering shadows. Using colors like “seashell” and “prosecco” from the Lorac palette are ideal since they make your eyes pop and shine bright like a diamond as Rihanna would say ;). To add a bit more of a dramatic flare to my eyes I incorporated a metallic brown color on the outer corners, “DK Sienna.” As a transition color from my eyelids to my brow bone I used a light stroke of “melon” and used “porcelain” in combination with “seashell” for my brow bone and inner corners of my eyes. I just love how these shadows apply so silky smooth, making them ideal for blending.
Bold Metals Brushes
Optimal control and comfort is what I think and feel every time I use this new collection of makeup brushes from Real Techniques. I cannot get enough of the 201 Pointed Crease Brush. The bristles are super soft, they feel luxurious, and the tip is ideal for blending eyeshadows. Sometimes this is the only brush I use on my eyes, as it is very versatile. It’s very important to have blendable eyeshadows, but it is also equally important to have great quality tools to achieve a beautiful makeup look. I like this brush so much that I also use it to contour my nose. My second favorite brush is the 301 Flat Contour Brush. The flat top head creates the perfect shadows in the hollows of my cheeks, forehead, and jawline when I contour.
The name says it all, ‘Naked Skin,’ this loose finishing powder gives such a flawless look. Lately I’ve been using it to set my concealer prior, apparently this is called baking (I recently found that out lol). Ever since I started using it I notice my face does not get oily anymore, I also don’t crease underneath my eyes or around my mouth and what’s best is that now I don’t even have to touchup my face throughout the day. My face makeup stays in place all day long. So what I do is I apply concealer underneath my eyes, forehead, at the center of my nose, cupids bow, chin, and right above my jawline. I blend my concealer using a beauty blender, then I apply this refining powder on top in the color medium light using a makeup sponge. I leave it in place for about ten to fifteen minutes. Then with a fluffy brush I dust off the excess and dip the same brush lightly into a long wear face powder to blend everything together.
Now, you can’t have a “Glam Girl” look without a set of eyelashes. This is just a MUST, really, when you want to make your eyes pop a little more. Lashes that are shorter in the inner corners and flare out at the ends are the type I always reach out for. Since I don’t wear false lashes on a regular basis, I struggle a lot with the glue and the application process. But, this set of Eylure eyelashes actually come pre-glued, which made it so much easier for me to apply them, and I didn’t have to worry about ruining my eye makeup with the glue.
La Creme’ – Jelly Bean
Raspberry red with hints of shimmer. The holidays just make me want to wear beautiful colors on my lips every single day.
