Lately I’ve been feeling like my closet needs an influx of new styles and colors. I’ve been trying to get out of my skater skirt wearing, pastel color, super feminine style a little. So I recently bought a few new trendy pieces that can be used year round. I didn’t know where to begin, so I set a few rules for myself before heading to the mall. 1). Don’t buy anything in my favorite colors: white, fuchsia, or anything pastel. 2). No skirts, dresses, or crop tops. 3). Buy something more masculine: dark colors, boxy, interesting print.

So to the mall I went, with my list in hand and beyond enthusiastic. I found a lot of great things, but my favorite was this structured bomber jacket. I saw it in dark green at first and was debating whether to get it or not, but then I noticed it in blush as well as this great olive hue. I wanted it in pink sooo badly, it’s the prettiest shade ever (see here). But, after a 20 minute internal struggle (;) lol) I put the pink jacket down and got the olive green instead.
