Some days when everything is going south all you can do is just clear your mind, smile, and keep on moving. Looking through these images, and reflecting on the day we shot them reminded me of just that. On this day I felt super bloated, not very cute, my boyfriend didn’t help either as he said I looked like a pirate in this outfit. And to top it off it was beyond windy outside. I was beyond annoyed, the first 50 shots we took I looked like—> this. Again, not very cute! But, for a split second the wind blew my hair just right and it felt like such a lovely breezy running through my hair. Right then and there is when I said to myself, “How lucky am I?” Seriously. Think about it. My biggest worry that moment was that the wind was blowing too hard and that I was bloated (which by the way is a perfectly normal side effect of eating too many veggies lol).
So, I just got out of my head and worked with what I had. I can’t say this is one of my favorite blog posts in regards to aesthetic, since I would prefer the images to be of a lot better quality. But, it is my favorite in the sense that we had so much fun shooting it. My hair kept sticking to my lipstick creating red streaks all over my face, I twirled a million times and nearly fell a million more, and we laughed until our bellies cramped. It was a great day.
Even though my boyfriend never apologized for calling me a pirate, I feel I looked like a pretty señorita in this look.
Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggg smooth salin’ matey! 😉
