What makes you happy?
It seems like a hard question to answer at times. But sometimes it’s just the simple little pleasures of every day life that make a huge difference in our day. It’s important to take a break from work or school and just take some time to truly enjoy the things that make you happy like a good laugh with friends or even a tasty treat from your favorite cafe. One thing I really enjoy is the feeling of waking up in the morning. For that reason I make a conscious effort not to reach for my phone the moment I wake up. Instead I take in the moment, stare at the ceiling for a while, look around my bedroom, and give thanks for being able to open my eyes and live another day. It’s all about having an attitude of gratitude. Practicing this every day has changed my outlook on life and my overall mood.
Pairing this printed dress with cozy leg warmers, high boots, and a flat hat enhanced the boho chic vibe I was going for this morning. I opted for long loose waves to complement the ensemble. The front bow detail on the dress is so retro. It definitely gives a 70’s feel, especially with the all over pleats and woodland print on the dress. It was perfect for an afternoon lunch date with my friends. Matching this dress with black tights, heels, and a fitted leather jacket would be a great alternative for a night out.
