Personally I like to do most of my shopping online. I love sitting on my bed on a Sunday night, in my comfy pajamas, with a cup of warm milk in hand, and browse through my favorite online stores. A few of my favorites being… Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Banana Republic, Forever21, and I always, always, always find my way through NastyGal. I seriously have like 10+ pages running simultaneously. I’m either maneuvering back and forth from one store to another, or a fashion website to another, either to gather inspiration or to give myself an idea of how certain items from various stores will look paired.That’s how this outfit came together.
I already had the leggings, but I really didn’t feel like wearing them with yet another black jacket, or white top . Instead I was looking for a super bright and bold color. I do like dark colors, but to be honest they’re not my favorite. I feel my best wearing fuchsia, orange, and in today’s case bright yellow. As I was looking for some outfit inspiration I actually found out that bright yellow is a trending color for fall, and even though it is completely different from the upcoming 2016 color of the year pastel duo (rose quartz and serenity) I really like it because it’s fun!
Like I said, I already had these moto zipper leggings, I’m sure you’ve seen me wearing them before. And although they’re very edgy, I wanted to tone down the edge a bit. I added a few key items, which were: a fun accessory, some type of fluffiness, and anything layer-able (is that even a word?). I wish I could find an item that contained all three specifications, it would be beyond awesome, but until then I’ll just stick to separates. Like… these fluffy earmuffs that keep my ears warm on early chilly mornings, my hologram cross body bag that is way too small for my iPhone 6 plus, but makes me look futuristic and cool 😉 lol. And my bright knit sweater that is perfect for layering. The color just puts me in a really good mood since it’s so cheerful. Today I truly just wanted to wear an outfit that was comfortable and made me feel good. I think I got it done. 🙂
