From Frizzy Hair to Smooth Waves with Lionesse Hair Tools

It’s such an enjoyable experience to share my fashion choices and adventures on Instagram on a daily basis. However, it’s also really great to change things up a bit after a while. That’s why lately I’ve been sharing more beauty tips with you guys. I think it creates a great balance on the blog, and it allows me to explain in greater detail my favorite beauty products and how I tend to use them when I get ready.

Today it will be all about H-A-I-R! I capitalize it because my hair gets a lot of attention on its own, sometimes even more than my outfits lol. But, what no one really knows is that I have the most frizzy and unruly hair ever. I have seriously tried every single hair product on the Target hair care aisle, as well as CVS, Walmart, even Sally’s, and many major salons in L.A. Everything from high end to low end has gone on my tresses and I still can’t get rid of the frizz, but one thing does help out a lot–having great styling tools. And on that note, I can’t wait to show you through this pictorial how I tame my locks and go from frizzy hair to smooth waves with Lionesse Hair Tools, more specifically using their ocean blue complete set.

1. Taming the Beast

I always let my hair air dry and once I feel it’s completely dry all throughout I split it into two sections, brush it thoroughly and apply product to it. I recently discovered that Lionesse not only focuses on hair tools, but also hair care products. So I gave their hair serum a try! Immediately my hair felt softer and looked shinier. I think it has to do with the vitamin E and aloe vera extract in it.

I like to get rid of the frizz on my roots first, mainly to make my hair more manageable faster. The 1.25″ inch solid ceramic plates take my hair from dry and brittle to smooth and glossy. You can tell right away when that their tools are produced under very high standards and with great regard for their customers satisfaction.

2. Let’s Get Wavy

Now we’re getting to the fun part–waves, body, volume.

I put on the black glove that’s included in the set, take half inch sections of hair, and curl away. I let my curls cool down before gently gliding my fingers through my hair.

3. Comb, Straighten, Curl, Repeat

I repeat the process until I’m completely done curling my entire hair.

4. Playing Favorites

Out of this 3 piece set I must say one of them has become my absolute favorite, the mini hair straightener. I have so many baby hairs around my hairline that it can become an overwhelming task to tame. However, this travel size flat iron put them in their place right away. It’s no surprise though since it’s made with the exact same 100% ceramic plates that it’s bigger counterpart also features.

5. Wait, There’s More

Now, just to be a little more extra I decided to add a cute little braid to my hairstyle. It’s really easy, just gather three strands and start braiding away, add more hair as you go along the hairline and secure it with a bobby pin.
