Date Night Charm

November 8, 2016Evelyn Madera Leave a Comment

Elegant and graceful, pure date night charm. My absolute favorite time to get ready is when I'm going out for date night. I think it's because I truly look forward to the romantic atmosphere, the dim lighting, light music, and the intimate conversation I'm going to have with my love. On these nights I luxuriate in getting ready from beginning to end. Sophisticated and super feminine is a given when wearing a black leather wrap skirt, lace up bodysuit and statement earrings. The burgundy coat serves as a great cover up, yet makes it possible to get a little bit of a skin peek. The structure of the jacket is what I like the most; the gold detailing, belt at the waist, and knee length give the look such a classic touch. I had to finish my outfit with statement earrings, the burgundy tassels and silver accents are the ideal finishing touch to this look. What do you think?

How to Fashionably Wear a Parka

August 15, 2016Evelyn Madera Leave a Comment

I was really happy to have found a very pretty sky blue parka. I like to put colorful pieces next to a blank canvas in order to make them stand out. So like always I brought out my favorite pair of white jeans to get the job done. Lately I've been wearing my white bodysuit a lot too, so I figured it was perfect for today's look as well. However, when I looked at myself in the mirror I still felt that the outfit looked flat. So I tied a printed scarf to my neck and got out my silver shoes. I finished off with a great pair of black Ray-Ban's and a bright pink pout. In the end I think I my parka look turned out exactly how I wanted it to, less casual, and more fashionable.

How to fashionably wear a parka? That’s been a question on my mind for quite some time now. Everyone seems to wear them in a very sporty fashion with sneakers, a pair of jeans, and any old t-shirt. And although Read more...

White

Some days it's good to just strip yourself of all color and pick out an entirely simple look. And by simple I don't mean your outfit has to sacrifice in details and staple pieces. But, rather wear a look that speaks for itself. An outfit that doesn't need the help of loud bright colors in order to stand out. That's what I did today with this all white number I've got on. An all white outfit is just so crisp.

Sometimes color can get overrated. I know that’s a huge shocker for me to say, but I’m serious.

Suede Mini Skirt

August 3, 2016Evelyn Madera Leave a Comment

Today's post is more of a style tips guide on how to wear a pink suede mini skirt outfit. Suede is usually thick, kind of heavy and can get hot really fast even if it's faux. So, when you wear it during summer it's best to wear it as a skirt. In my opinion, leave the suede jackets and body hugging dresses for fall, or if you must wear them do it after 7pm, once the day starts cooling down a bit and you won't be miserable. When I saw this skirt for the first time I just knew it was going to be a staple in my closet. I know the color will be a little hard to wear all year round, but I think I can make it work even in December. For now though, it's perfect! We are still in summer and blush pink is the IT color. It's boxy shape provides a girly chic structure, somewhat inspired by the 70's. The golden details make the skirt seem even more special and expensive. In order to make this suede mini pop even more I knew I had to pair it with a well fitted bodysuit. Doing this would make the color stand out even more! (as if that's possible ;)) lol. However, since the skirt is mini, and I was wearing it during the day while on-the-go, I made sure to wear a long sleeve bodysuit. This balanced the entire look and made me feel comfortable all day long. I didn't have to worry about anything slipping, popping out, or riding up. If I were to be wearing it for a night out with the girls then I would've definitely worn it with a deep V-neck bodysuit and strappy heels.

Suede, suede, suede. It’s all about suede right now, that and faux suede as well ;). I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but suede is scorching hot right now. Like, you can’t go to any store without bumping into a Read more...

Little Black Bodysuit

April 9, 2016Evelyn Madera

The bodysuit trend has caught on, and it's spreading like wild fire. If you're new to it, my tip would be to start off with a solid color, preferably black, and maybe one with long sleeves. These qualities will guarantee that you will be able to wear it with jeans, skirts, and most importantly, for any occasion. The one I'm wearing is definitely a little more risqué. The sheer tulle leaves very little to the imagination, which I love. However, the intricate butterfly and floral embroidery are placed perfectly throughout in order to avoid over exposure. Maybe next time I wear it I'll skip the jacket and pair it with distressed jeans with tons of rips and tears. The options are endless!
