Top 3 of 5 February Trends 2017 Pink and Fuzzy Vest

I know rose quartz was the color of the year in 2016, but it’s influence is still being noticed in 2017. The pastel trend is still here, specially for Spring. If it’s petal pink and fuzzy and comes in the Read more...

Comfy in my Converse

November 7, 2016Evelyn Madera Leave a Comment

Today I wore my comfy shoes with an equally comfy outfit, a pretty pink sleeveless tiered mini dress, with a lace-up tie back and a flowy fit. A chunky knit always works as a great cover up as its soft, simple, and very relaxed. To accessorize a bit I tied a striped handkerchief around my neck. The simplicity of the entire look with the laid back timeless edge of my converse make this outfit the perfect choice for an easy breezy day.

I’m giving my high heels a break today and getting comfy in my converse. To be honest with you, this is actually the first pair of converse I’ve ever owned. I’m not too crazy about sneakers, wether they’re fashionable or Read more...

Suede Mini Skirt

August 3, 2016Evelyn Madera Leave a Comment

Today's post is more of a style tips guide on how to wear a pink suede mini skirt outfit. Suede is usually thick, kind of heavy and can get hot really fast even if it's faux. So, when you wear it during summer it's best to wear it as a skirt. In my opinion, leave the suede jackets and body hugging dresses for fall, or if you must wear them do it after 7pm, once the day starts cooling down a bit and you won't be miserable. When I saw this skirt for the first time I just knew it was going to be a staple in my closet. I know the color will be a little hard to wear all year round, but I think I can make it work even in December. For now though, it's perfect! We are still in summer and blush pink is the IT color. It's boxy shape provides a girly chic structure, somewhat inspired by the 70's. The golden details make the skirt seem even more special and expensive. In order to make this suede mini pop even more I knew I had to pair it with a well fitted bodysuit. Doing this would make the color stand out even more! (as if that's possible ;)) lol. However, since the skirt is mini, and I was wearing it during the day while on-the-go, I made sure to wear a long sleeve bodysuit. This balanced the entire look and made me feel comfortable all day long. I didn't have to worry about anything slipping, popping out, or riding up. If I were to be wearing it for a night out with the girls then I would've definitely worn it with a deep V-neck bodysuit and strappy heels.

Suede, suede, suede. It’s all about suede right now, that and faux suede as well ;). I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but suede is scorching hot right now. Like, you can’t go to any store without bumping into a Read more...

Nothing like a flowery romper on a hot summer day

July 22, 2016Evelyn Madera Leave a Comment

87F degrees seriously screams for something flowy and cool, that's why there is truly nothing like a flowery romper on a hot summer day. Not only does the floral print make you look pretty and feminine, but the lightweight material and loose fit keeps you from sweating profusely. I like wearing mine with wedge heels, light makeup and a stylish bag. A floral romper outfit is the official outfit of the summer I would say. It can take you from day to night without any effort. And who doesn't like that?

2 Year Blogiversary: My Current Thoughts

July 19, 2016Evelyn Madera Leave a Comment

Light pink, blush, dusty rose... Whatever you call this lovely shade of pastel pink, I just want to say that I love it! This color is just so beautiful, I'm wearing it almost every week. I find it so charming and feminine, ideal for warm weather and any skin tone. My top lends itself to be flirty and fun, that's why I paired it with my favorite white denim jeans and cute jewelry.
